Remembrance Day Winners Recognized by Roblin Legion
Members of Roblin Branch 24 of the Royal Canadian Legion awarded certificates to winners of the annual Remembrance Day poster and essay contest during Goose Lake High morning assembly. Winners include Blair Branconnier, Jennifer Laviolette, Julie Lovas, Vanessa Brazeau, Blair Garinger, Jerrod Cox, Michael Buick. Michael Buick’s poem The Least We Can Do was named best in Zone 13.

Roblin RCMP Traffic Check Yields One Charge
Roblin RCMP and Russell Highway Patrol stopped 75 vehicles on PTH 5 East on Feb 6. One person was charged with misuse of licence plates and one Highway Traffic Act warning was issued. Police also follow up on thefts including purple gas, cabin items, tire theft, a chain saw, and an attempted break in at La Plante's Store.

Roblin RCMP probe string of incidents and arrests
Police continue investigations into multiple Roblin cases. An 18 year old intoxicated youth was treated for exposure after being found outside a residence in a trailer court. A 52 year old Roblin man was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act on Feb 2. A 22 year old Roblin resident faced illegal possession of liquor charges in a motor vehicle. An 18 year old was charged with illegal liquor possession in a back alley. A fire extinguisher was stolen from Maple Manor and a vehicle vandalism incident was reported on Feb 2. A Feb 6 assault inquiry remains active. Harassment by a Roblin resident was reported on Feb 8. Continuous probes into these events are underway.
