Hats for Haiti Emily Shiner Crochets Hats to Aid Haiti
Ten year old Emily Shiner began crocheting hats to help Haiti after hearing about the quake. She sells each hat for five dollars, has raised about two hundred fifty dollars with around a dozen orders left. Emily crochets before and after school and during indoor recess, drawing motivation from a Bible study comment about a boy who funded wells in Africa. She plans to continue donating beyond the government matching period and hopes others will contribute.
