Manitoba Proposes Sleep Disorder and ER Funding Measures
The province announced a 4.6 million three year plan to expand sleep disorder testing and treatment in Manitoba. Health Minister Theresa Oswald notes more than 10 percent of adults have a sleep disorder and ties this to quality of life and other health risks. The letter also questions ER closures and calls for nurse practitioner staffing to keep ERs open, highlighting concerns for Roblin and other communities.
