Rainbows Set Pace For Winter Angling
Manitoba Fisheries lists nine trophy fish for the 20th Master Angler award led by rainbow trout from Persse Lake caught during winter ice-fishing. Heaviest rainbow six to seven pounds with John W. Thomas of Dauphin taking the top prize. A 26 pound four ounce northern pike from Cranberry Lake is also noted.
