Canada and Manitoba agree to share equally eight million dollars to fix water management on the Assiniboine River. Four million funds Shellmouth Dam upgrades and flood control, with the other four million compensating upstream landowners and purchasing upstream land in Saskatchewan. The plan also studies downstream impacts.
