The Roblin Housing Co op met its December 16 deadline for 22 senior housing units, receiving 32 applications split as 18 for 17 non designated units and 14 for five subsidized suites. Final Manitoba Housing approval and local financing review remain.
At a Roblin town council meeting Councillor Borden Hawryluk asked if public works could be laid off in winter. Foreman Glen Reierson said meter cleaning and service line work keep crews busy, with sidewalks cleared promptly to let the tractor handle snow.
