The Lake of the Prairies Conservation District has secured funding to preserve Roblin area drinking water supplies. District Manager Sharla Boychuk says the funding is available to all districts and praises the decision as beneficial for Roblin and surrounding residents.

Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz and Manitoba Minister Stan Struthers announced a two part Feed and Transportation Assistance Program. It offers up to 22 cents per tonne per loaded mile or 10 cents per head per loaded mile for transport, plus up to 30 dollars per ton for feed purchases. Eligible producers can contact MAFRI offices or visit www.gov.mb.ca/agriculture for details and forms.
