Lower Autopac Rates Hit Farm Trailers and Leased Cars

Municipal Affairs Minister Howard Pawley announced rate cuts for several Autopac vehicle classes for 1973-74. Farm trailers will see premiums drop from 20 to 8 dollars, with other reductions for certain leased automobiles and most house and cabin trailers. Tow trucks used by service stations and repair garages also receive lower rates. Pawley notes prior grouping of farm trailers with utility trailers created inequities. The changes target broader fairness in trailer licensing.
