The province elected their representatives to the Second Boys Parliament of Manitoba last Tuesday with Principal Kavanagh as Returning Officer at Tummel polling station. The Cromarty church community organized a Christmas program and formed a church club, electing officers and planning regular winter meetings. A large turnout at Tum m el church heard an illustrated lecture on Christ’s influence, followed by musical numbers and a plan to merge the club with the Christmas tree event next Thursday night.
Mr and Mrs Fred McDuffe visit Maharrey sister before Scotland trip. Gravel pit surveyors finished work after most of summer in the area. Teachers busy preparing scholars for a band Christmas concert. Mr C Vansickle took Bert to Dauphin Hospital last Thursday for appendicitis operation and is reported recovering well. Review readers missed their paper last week as mail service delays word.
Mrs H Bochehér hosted a miscellan eous shower and birthday party on Wednesday in honor of Miss Dorothy Joliffe bride elect. About 95 guests attended. Gifts were displayed in two large baskets as Miss Joliffe thanked attendees and wished visits to her new home.
Local items from Togo report visitors such as Mr Lewis Thomson of Kelvington and Miss Dinwoodie joining Union Bank staff. Elections appoint Mr Frank Butt as councillor for Div 1 Core Municipality. A fire destroyed Mr H Horsewall’s barn with no insurance, and the Jr WA sale at All Saints raised funds. The Makaroff Dramatic Society presented The Path Across the Hills to praise.

Merridale resident Miss C Marton of Elphinstone visits sister Mrs Cockerill at Merridale. Mr and Mrs C Cockerill host Nov 23 sun. Local workers hold video talks with Santa Chris about possible Merridale visits to Community Hall and school Christmas tree amid hard times and benefits of civilization.

A novelty masquerade ball is set for Dec 28 in Makaroff hall with pillowcase headgear and a sheet dress, masked. Miss Oxenham conducts a two day sewing course. About fourteen attended the opening class on Monday.
A charity event, the Whit Drive In, is set to raise funds for district children in need at the Empire Theatre tomorrow night, Friday, with proceeds supporting the Santa Claus fund. Local organizers urge attendance for community support and festive activities.
