Manitoba expands penalties for repeat drunk drivers and flight from police
The provincial government enacts harsher sanctions to curb repeat impaired driving, suspended licenses, and high speed chases. New rules double breathalyser related impoundments, impose six month and two year suspensions, and add mandatory licence suspensions for flight from police. The changes apply to all vehicles including snowmobiles and ATVs, expanding repeat-offender classification and increasing deterrence.
