Harvey Loptson and his son Orris have expanded flax stripping on summer fallow from 40 to 80 hectares, using thin 10 cm flax strips 10 m apart to reduce wind erosion and trap snow. The method requires little seed, costs are low, and the farmers plan further adoption.
