Mobile clinic to bring health care closer in PMH region
Prairie Mountain Health launches a three mobile clinics plan starting in the PMH region with an initial route covering San Clara Binscarth Birdtail Sioux Tootinoowaziibeeng Keeseekoowen and McAuley. The unit, staffed by a nurse practitioner a registered nurse and a primary care assistant, will offer checkups minor ailment treatment chronic condition support and telehealth ready EMR systems. Appointments and schedules will be posted on the PMH site with same day slots available. The initiative aims to improve access to primary care across Manitoba communities and is expanded next fall and summer 2015 to other health regions.
