The Roblin Northstars endured a rough week with three defeats. A 8-3 Tuesday loss to Churchbridge featured 17 penalties for Churchbridge and 13 for Roblin. On Wednesday they fell 11-3 at Langenburg with eight players, and on Sunday they lost 5-4 to Kamsack in a tight rematch. Scorers included Messinbird, Nattrass, Keast, Carriere, and Kozak.
Ironstand reports Terry Stroshien delivered a solid performance in goal for Roblin, producing numerous crucial saves to keep the match tight.
Manitoba 4‑H Week activities featured the Roblin Silver Spurs and Assiniboine 4‑H groups with a skating party at Roblin Arena on November 11. About 107 participants from Roblin and nearby clubs joined crafts, poetry, and prose contests, plus the "4‑H Is More" message.
Poem by Jackie and Ricky Zimmer ages 9 and 10 places first in the Junior Division. It celebrates learning to saddle, bridle, care for stables and hooves, ride, harness mane and tail, brush, and tie up horses.
A poem by Rodney Arndt age 15 wins 1st place in Senior Division at 4 H Is More highlighting learning by doing with Head Heart Hands and Health. It promotes 4 H values and encourages joining a local club to explore projects from A to Z.
