Manitoba Hydro Maintains Stable Electricity Rates
Manitoba Hydro will not raise electricity rates for the second consecutive year. Strong export markets yielded record annual export revenues of 297 million dollars, supporting net income and keeping Manitoba rates among the lowest in Canada and globally. Over five years, Manitoba rates rose 0.8 percent annually while the consumer price index climbed 1.9 percent.
