Town council briefs show winter readiness and ice concerns
Town foreman Glen Reierson reported the public works department is prepared for winter with shop maintenance and equipment serviced. Ice buildup around manhole covers on some streets prompted discussion, but problem areas were addressed. A lake lagoon seepage dispute over 15 acres will be handled through the town’s insurance. The work experience program through Human Resources is extended to March 19, 1993.

Century STE car seats recalled over buckle release safety flaw
The Century 3000 STE 3500 STE 5000 STE and 5500 STE models from Sept 1 1989 to Apr 30 1992 lot 8909 9204 face a buckle release issue identified in US and Transport Canada crash tests affecting 2949 units. Century will supply a free retrofit kit by Apr 21 1992 and urges continued use with caution until fixed.
