District News notes many social visits and guests from Winnipeg Edmonton Grandview and Toronto. Mr and Mrs Davis Morrison and Kellett families hosted gatherings while others returned from Winnipeg and Toronto. Congratulations to Len Cockerill on the birth of a daughter. Deepdale Reopens For Fail Term And Local Visits

Deepdale school re opened for the Fail Term on Aug 27 with Miss Mabel Ruff of Togo in charge. Mrs Sherson, a patient in Roblin Hospital, is steadily improving after a major operation last Monday. Mr and Mrs Clifford Booth of Victoria BC visited the homes of Mr and Mrs H Ayer and Mr and Mrs C Ayer. Kenneth McKenzie is a patient in Roblin Hospital. Best wishes.

Local residents return and plan work trips in Western Canada

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Chase return to Bield after a year in British Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. John McLeod travel to Winnipeg for a clinic. Rody Spear, Mark Balles, and M. Chase head to Kelowna to work for the winter. Visitors to J. C. Poucher’s home include grandsons Mervyn and Jack Greerson from Winnipeg, Ted Peddit of The Pas, Flossie Bulmer of Timberton, and Jack McKay of New Westminster, B C.

Silverwood Woman Returns Home After Illness

Mrs. Spencer recovering at Roblin hospital after flu, now home and feeling better. Silverwood Sunday School held annual picnic at Earl McIntyre's with bonfire, guitar, singing, coffee, ice cream and cake. OGrady family visiting Mr. and Mrs. Spencer. youth busily preparing to return to school. Charlie Framingham spent week with J. Butterfield of Bield and will work at a pool elevator unit in Ingliss until university term begins.
