Crystal Gardens Opens as Victoria’s Grand Salt Water Pool
The Hon. W. G. Nichol and D. C. Coleman unveil Crystal Gardens in Victoria, a two acre winter garden housing the continent’s largest salt water pool. The 150 by 40 foot pool rests under glass, with heated 70 degree water and a full leisure complex including a gym, baths, art gallery, two dance floors, and tea room. The Canadian Pacific Railway boosts service to Vancouver and Seattle via the Triangular Route with two new ships, Princess Kathleen and Marguerite, to support a coming tourist wave to Vancouver Island.
