Metis councils report resilient year and new projects
Northwest Metis Council and MMF convened the annual regional meeting with NWMC officials, MMF ministers and President David Chartrand. They highlighted 5000 hampers delivered to Elders and vulnerable families, virtual youth programs, homeschooling supports, refurbished technology, and two new Dauphin buildings including a daycare and governance office. The MMF outlined economic development, job creation, and plans for childcare centers, a Bank of Montreal purchase, and a Dauphin greenhouse project to create 50 local jobs.
