John Barker Found Drowned in Hay Slough

An elderly man, 61, John Barker, attempting a shortcut while en route to a friend's home, drowned in a hay slough. After days of searching by local residents and police, his body was found in shallow water near a hay coil. Coroner ruled accidental death by drowning. funeral held at Roblin Cemetery with services led by Rev. King.
