Manitoba Bans Cellphones in Classrooms Provincewide
The Manitoba government bans cellphones in most classrooms for the new school year with limited exemptions. Education officials say the move reduces distractions and supports focused learning, while allowing device use only for medical needs and teacher directed educational purposes in higher grades. The policy applies during school hours and breaks, with provisions for staff use and classroom safety.
