Roblin District Community Foundation BBQ Fund Raiser
The Roblin District Community Foundation held its 2nd annual BBQ Fund Raiser on August 14 at the Walter and Fiona Hammond farm drawing 130 attendees. The charity aims to grow a one million dollar fund whose interest funds local cash awards and the Goose Lake High Youth in Philanthropy project. Since 2003 incorporation the foundation has returned 175000 to the community including 15000 this year. laws require annual donations from the fund’s interest, with larger pools enabling bigger returns.
