Yorkton area threshing day features square dancing nail driving
The event showcased 10 threshing teams and square dancing by the Yorkton Square Dancing Group. The annual ladies nail driving contest drew 16 participants, with Judy Duchek winning in 35 seconds and Diane Mitscherin second. Doug Ireland won a hammer trophy after a three second tie with Darrell Lowenburger. Miniature tractors and small engines were on display, and media coverage came from Prairie Farm Report and Western Producer. A pot luck supper closed the day, with many thanks offered to volunteers and contributors.
