Cable Corner tracks WMCL hearing on Manitoba rural cable access
August hearings in Winnipeg will decide amendments to WMCL licences. Public ownership of drops via MTS and Tolstoi headend ownership are at stake, with rural operators wary of costly upgrades while expanding service. WMCL reports 1,837 members by July and 850 Brandon installations. Carberry sales blitz yields 102 sales and town support.
