Inglis elevator restoration celebrated with ribbon cutting
The Inglis Area Heritage Committee hosted an all day event to mark the completion of the Reliance elevator restoration project. Project manager Allan Sawchuk recalled funding struggles and pride in a globally recognized site. Reeve Alvin Zimmer credited Marcia Rowat, with remarks from MP Jim Bezan, MLA Drew Caldwell, and Parks Canada representative Greg Fenton.

On July 21 Dale Karen Bill and Mary Gamey traveled from Winnipeg to Sault Ste Marie to ride the Algoma Central Railway Tourist train stopping at Agawa Canyon and Whistle Stop before a boat ride to Errington Wilderness Island Resort. On July 26 Mary attended a bridal shower for Raena at Dale and Karen's home in Winnipeg.
