Obituary of Henry Gill Pioneer of Roblin Manitoba
Roblin and district mourn the death of Henry Gill a longtime pioneer born 1835 in Burton England who emigrated to Canada in 1870. He helped form Shell River Colonization Company and served as first manager and later as an Ips councillor and police magistrate in Roblin. He died August 5 1919 at Roblin after a long illness and was buried beside his late wife August 10 with many relatives present. Surviving children include W H Gill J C Boulton C L Hawley J F Worley O O Biech J L Whitlam and J A Gill all of Roblin and others located in Trenton Seattle Vancouver and Ortage la Prairie.
