68 Per Cent Hydro Sign-Up Reaches Target Near Roblin
Farmers in the Roblin area have surpassed the 65 percent sign-up for electrified farming. Of about 142 farms, 97 have signed. August 21, 1948 is the close-off date for first area applications. Ten applications needed for a second group. delays may extend service wait. Applications available at municipal offices and Hydro Supervisor W. Kemp. Mr. Mills thanks canvassers, press, and officials for support.

Roblin CCF July Meeting Notes Progress and Plans
The Roblin CCF unit met at Mr. and Mrs. Curle's home on July 21 with 25 attendees including Les Thompson and Fred Zaplitny. Thompson reported on the Manitoba CCF convention in Winnipeg in June and discussed membership fees a Manitoba leader Ed Hansford the Communist threat and election prospects. Zaplitny reviewed CCF progress in June elections and by elections noting June as a CCF month. The group voted to run the Hospital Aid booth on a Saturday night and set a September date. Next gathering will be at Ed Jakeman's on August 18 at 8 30.
