Netting program aims to curb nuisance perch at East Goose Lake
Public Works employees Jason Nash and Tom Paczkoski began the lake’s annual netting program on East Goose Lake to remove nuisance perch likely introduced by well meaning anglers. Perch, prolific spawners at age one, are trucked to Lake of the Prairies. East Goose Lake is a CN Fly Fishing Championships site May 22 through 29.

Roblin IGA becomes Roblin Fine Foods under Fine Foods banner
Roblin's former Wilson's IGA has joined the Fine Foods banner and will be rebranded as Roblin Fine Foods. Manager Rhonda Wilson notes the sign will go up in a couple weeks with regular flyers starting Friday. Owner Chris Sadhu says the move, after about six months of consideration, aims to benefit the business employees and community. Triple 4 Advertising/Fine Foods formed in 1994 to lower costs and boost competitiveness in grocery retail.
