Manitoba Rainbow Trout Fingerlings Move Through MRTFA Network
The Manitoba Rainbow Trout Farmers Association, a 37 year old non profit with 11 board members, sells fingerlings to Manitoba residents for stocking dugouts and sloughs. About 55,000 four inch and 5,000 six inch fingerlings are distributed yearly from a Minnedosa distribution center. Fingerlings travel from Buffalo Gap South Dakota in a tanker and are packed in oxygen filled bags or tanks for transport. Prices are 32 cents per fingerling over 1,000 and 35 cents each under 1,000. Orders are booked through Kathy or John.
