Roblin Credit Union votes down amalgamation with Crocus Credit Union
At the Roblin AGM the proposal to merge with Crocus Credit Union Brandon was defeated 77 yes to 46 no from 123 ballots, two thirds needed. Crocus approved the merger April 8. Roblin members fear loss of autonomy and bigger operations. The merger plan may return for consideration, with calls for better information and local community benefit.
