Mrs. E. Becker-Reporter Zorra notes Mrs. Alex Diehl of Yorkton visiting the district for the first time since breaking her leg nine months ago. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Becker and Mr. Ernie were mentioned in the report.
The Bield Ladies Club held its April gathering at the Community Centre on April 3 with 10 members. Doris Johnstone joined as a new member and a 12 foot freezer was purchased for the hall. The bake sale on March 24 was a success and raffle winner Milly Shiner decorated the Easter cake won by Bill De La Mare.
Lynn McFadyen of Boissevain and the McFadyen family hosted a Come and Go Tea at the Drop-In Centre on April 8 honoring their parents 40th anniversary. Attendees included Edith Hodgson and several relatives from Regent Winnipeg Douglas Brandon and Yorkton. A dance closed the evening.
Pauline Dietrich reporter reports Mr and Mrs Phil Zimmer and Mr and Mrs Don Robin traveled to Winnipeg on Saturday to meet Sally Robin at the airport. She recently returned from a two week Italy tour with a Russell School group of students and two teachers from Russell. Sheldon Bernhard and Debbie Bezo of Winnipeg were weekend visitors with Sheldon.
