Easy Method of Testing Seed at Home

A plain home germination test using plates blotter and warm water to determine seed germination percentage. Place kernels on blotter between batting paper on an inverted plate inside a larger pan, cover with warm water, and keep on a warm shelf to observe sprouting results.

Annual Meeting of Roblin Boys and Girls Club

The Roblin Boys' and Girls' Club held its annual meeting in the Assembly Hall of the new school with Mr. Simpson presiding. The group voted unanimously to carry on in 1923, elected officers led by M. H. Simpson, and appointed a board of directors and project leaders across activities such as cat, horses, hogs, grain, sewing, gardening, and school work, noting parental cooperation as a current handicap.

Teams of three men and one lead competed in the Baine and Kulberg events, with All-comers and Consolation also on the program. Live Stock Train to Visit Manitoba Farms

Live stock improvement train runs again this year by Canadian National and Canadian Pacific in partnership with Manitoba Department of Agriculture and live stock associations. Train due to arrive at Roblin and Makaroft on May 17. A meeting at Tummel church next Wednesday features Mr Ritchie, Wood, Livingston debating open route for Hudson Hay Routes with Miss Stairs and C Lamb arguing against it. The program begins April 7 at 8 pm.
