Roblin area moves toward new community foundation
A March 26 public meeting gave the Roblin district group the go ahead to pursue a community foundation. About 30 attendees voted yes, backing plans to raise $200 000 over four years to access funds from the Thomas Sill Foundation and bolster initial capital from local health and education endowments. The foundation would use earned interest to fund grants in arts health environment and other areas, with feasibility work set to take about three months.
