Notification to Hon. John 5. Martin of Ontario Agriculture shows his white Wyandottes won the best Aiaplay trophy at the New York State Fair Syracuse for the twentieth consecutive year. Premiums for land clearing increased to eight dollars per acre with a maximum twenty acres, allowing a settler to obtain a 160 dollar government grant.
The Brandon Sun reports a proposed conversion of an abandoned CN right of way into an auto highway from Harte to Brandon. Rails were never laid and an overhead bridge near Douglas was dismantled, but the project could save about six miles for local traffic and farmers entering the city.
The Golf Club reports a highly successful Thanksgiving dance both socially and financially. A guest lost his coat, and the club pledges a new coat check system. The dance committee thanks members, especially Mr and Mrs Borroff for leadership and decorations.
