Bride Betty Schmaus Weds Frederick Jordan at Knox United
Betty Patricia Schmaus of Wheatland married Frederick John Jordan of Oak Lake at Jordan United Church Brandon on November 8. Rev. N Mercer officiated. Attendants were Ben and Jean Jordan. They plan to reside in Rivers after a wedding breakfast at the bride’s home.

Manitoba trappers prize pool for January dog race
The Pas chamber of commerce announced 1500 in cash prizes for Manitoba trappers at the Canadian championship dog team race in Port Arthur. Eino Hisumaki, 44, was charged with murder in the beating death of Mrs. Oscar Sale, 41, near Port Arthur. A 35000 gallon water tank toppled in Chicago, killing at least five and injuring six, with ten workers reported missing at Central Cold Storage in Riverdale.
