Alman Eleanor Ferguson of Rivers and Alexander Stewart of Griswold were married November 1 at First Presbyterian Church Brandon. Rev W Oliver Nugent officiated. The bride wore a white satin gown with embroidery and carried crimson roses. Attendants included Norma Ferguson and Agnes Forrest. Best man was James Stewart. Reception at Prince Edward hotel followed by a honeymoon to Winnipeg and western points. couple will reside in Brandon.

Polish nurse to be deported after failed marriage plan
Winnipeg dispatch reports 32 year old Polish nurse Dagilviez, living in Dauphin Manitoba, ordered deported for failing to marry within 40 days as required for immigration. She came to Canada to marry a Dane she met in Germany while in a displaced persons camp. A Dauphin lawyer has appealed the order.
