Dorothy Diver, daughter of Airs John Diver and the late Mr Diver, married Alfred Edward Wooonis, son of Mr and Mrs George Eldtint, in a Watwanesa United Church ceremony on October 31 conducted by Rev TOE OC. The bride wore a floor length ivory satin gown with French lace and net details, tiara, veil, and a white Bible with floral embellishments. Attendants included bridesmaid Dev ery Geexswill and flower girl Jean Laird. groom’s party included Denis Careassey, ushers William Shearer and Jack Brown. A reception followed and the couple will reside in Rivers after a honeymoon in Washington and British Columbia.
Mildred Ruth Bridgeman and Dennis Mervin Goodman wed October 24 at St Matthew’s Ancrum. Officiant Rev W G Chapman, reception in Bradwardine for 50 guests, honeymoon in the United States, couple to reside in Brandon India.
Joyce Dorothy Bradley and John Alexander wed at Wedderburn Bradley St Pauls Manse Brandon on Oct 30 at 2 pm officiated by Rev F G Ongley. Bride wore twilight blue net over teal taffeta, corsage of American beauty roses. Attendant Careff Randle Vancouver and best man Walter Lowe Braa wardine. Reception at Prince Edward hotel for 41 guests. Honeymoon to Minneapolis and points south before settling in Tarbolton.
Mrs S E Oakey is holidaying with relatives at the Pacific coast. R Surtees of Calgary visited last weekend at the home of Mr and Mrs P E Maxted.
