First Annual Inspection Day For Rivers Squadron
Submitted by FO WJ Stewart the Rivers squadron holds its first annual inspection on its parade ground at Rivers School on June 1 at 7 30 pm with Group Captain W A Murray reviewing. Governing officers from No 2 T C R G A P attend and Rivers School Band will provide music. After the inspection the Air Cadet Ensign is presented and demonstrations in air craft recognition first aid and signals follow. Cadets will attend Rally Day at Brandon on June 3 for training and sports.

Salvage Pick Up in Rivers on May 27
A salvage drive in Rivers is set for Saturday May 27 to collect up to 20000 tons of waste paper monthly. Residents are asked to bundle paper into suitable sizes and place the bundles at the front of their houses for quick pickup. Rags are also in high demand and donations should be turned in at this time.
