Westwood HSA Whist Drive Attracts 60 Plus Attendees
More than 60 persons attended the whist drive sponsored by the newly organized Westwood home and school association. On May 3 prizes were won by Mrs W Spelleer and Garnet Smith with Mrs M French and R Cote taking consolation awards. Forty three members were present and the evening ended with lunch after the organization meeting.

Two Curling Clubs Held Banquets Here
Two banquets sponsored by the ladies curling club and the men's curling club were held at the Alexandra hotel last week. Thirty nine ladies attended the supper on Wednesday with members from various rinks competing for costume prizes. Mrs J Gilchrist chaired. A social period and old time dancing followed. The men’s club gathered Thursday with 49 attending a banquet chaired by J R Stratford. A singsong was led by J A McKenzie. A business meeting followed.
