Mrs J Radcliffe visits Winnipeg this week and several locals attended events at home and nearby towns. Miss Audrey Weir of Brandon spent the weekend with Betty Hanlon. Mrs Percy Neville of Winnipeg visited her mother Mrs J E Mitchell. United Church Ladies Aid meets at Mrs G Jelliff on Thursday April 4 at 3 p.m. Miss Margaret Mills of Winnipeg visited her parents Mr and Mrs R A Mills for a week. The Rev Canon I A Norris will broadcast from CKX Brandon from 4 to 4 15 Sunday. Sgt Fred Taylor returned home from overseas, reached Winnipeg Friday after Atlantic crossing by plane. Flowers bloom in Rivers garden pansies in J A Grummett’s yard. Mr and Mrs J T Bowman celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary March 12 at their son-in-law and daughter’s home in Transcona. they returned to Rivers Tuesday.

Former Riversite Wed in Brandon
Alice Lorraine Frost and Archie McKellar were married March 16 at First United Church Brandon with Rev E D Err ey officiating. The bride wore a lime green two piece dress with brown trim and attended by Ruth Hutchinson. Best man was Stanley Frost Winnipeg. Reception at the bride's mother's home followed by a short honeymoon in Winnipeg before settling on the west coast.

Irene Wonnell Marries in East
Cpl Irene Ethel Wonnell RCAF and Arnold Elwood Montgomery wed March 10 at the RCAF chapel Toronto. The bride, youngest daughter of E and E Wonnell Rivers, was escorted by Groomsman F-Set Harry McCarl of Collingwood Ontario. A wedding dinner followed at the Savarin Hotel and the couple departed for a Niagara Falls honeymoon.
