Orchestral Concert Draws Large Crowd at Hall
A large audience attended W. Whyte’s Orchestral Concert at 1.0 O.F. Hall last Wednesday aimed at funding a trip to Brandon Musical Festival. J A McKenzie chaired and highlighted a charity goal. The Rivers Board of Trade met in the Council Chamber with President B E Grant presiding. Members were few due to absences, routine business was handled, a banquet report was accepted, and a date window between October 25 and November 15 for the next event was proposed to boost attendance from country towns. A Coronation observance plan was formed with H Wareham J A McKenzie and T W Offen to coordinate with Town Council.
