A school tragedy in Wheatland last week ends with Margaret Anderson the teacher fatally shot and Grant Wallis turning the weapon on himself after a doomed romance. Wallis left home Tuesday, visited the school Wednesday, and the fatal incident occurred at 5.30 p.m. with no prior warning.
Word arrives that Rev. William Grange Wilson, former pastor of the Rivers Methodist Church for four years, died at Lashburn, Saskatchewan, after illness. He leaves a son in Lashburn and a daughter in the United States, with a widow. Wilson, who entered ministry in 1878, served many charges and was known for leadership among Rivers youths and his role as a chaplain in the Odd Fellows. The tragedy and its aftermath stirred communal sorrow.
