The Rivers Fair will be held July 15. A directors meeting on Saturday last approved prizes for Baseball with Senior first prize of 100 dollars and junior first prize of 35 dollars. G A Moule’s booth privileges were accepted. Directors meet July 13 at 9 a.m. to prepare grounds. A fair day dance is planned at the Odd Fellows Hall. Teacher Is Honored by Scholars

Tragedy at Myra claims life of Tony Stelmach
A 21 year old Canora Saskatchewan man Tony Stelmach drowned while swimming in the Oak River near Myra on Monday evening after a hot day. His friend was unable to assist. The body was recovered Tuesday evening after divers and police searched the river with dynamite unsuccessfully. He leaves a family in Canora.
