Rivers Agricultural Society directors met Tuesday to approve grants for sports and exhibits. A tag day for Rivers School play equipment was not approved due to Salvation Army tag privileges for Grace Hospital. G A Moule received Booth privileges. $300 was set for Senior Baseball. a second baseball diamond and a horse shoe tournament with prizes up to $1000 were planned.

Community Club Honors Members With Surprise Party

Josiah Chamberlain Kennedy died Tuesday at age 76 after a long community life in Manitoba. Canadian of British descent, he was born to a large family, survived by wife Adeline Wilson and three of five children J Clark M E Schaefer and O T Anderson. He served in the Fenian Raid era and remained active in work until a week before death with funeral held Thursday at 11 and interment in Brandon. pallbearers listed.
