Rivers Town borrows to fund electric distribution system
Town of Rivers council enacts bylaw to issue nine thousand dollars in debentures for constructing and maintaining electrical poles wires and appliances for town wide distribution. Debentures dated Aug 1 1919 payable over twenty years with six percent interest funded by annual special rate of 734.66 dollars and power agreement with Grand Trunk Pacific Railway Company to supply surplus electricity for five years starting August 1 1919.
