The Unity Saskatchewan Gun Club and Game Protective Association held its annual trap shoot on their grounds Friday May 24. Despite gusty winds the day yielded low scores but featured standout performances by Bob Wilkinson who claimed high gun of the day. Wilkinson, once Rivers top marksman, proved his enduring skill and spirit as he knocked down clays with notable accuracy.
The United Church announces no service next Sunday evening and a 11.30 a.m. service at Daly. Pettapiece holds a 7.30 p.m. service. The annual Sunday School picnic is set for Thursday, June 27 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester McFadden with 1.45 p.m. departure from the church. Transportation committee members Alf Wareham J H Conch P H Neville Rev Betl and J A Grummett are requested to arrange cars.
