BE Grant and family hosted their son in law and daughter in law Sir and Mrs L E Grant and their little grandson from St Paul Minnesota and daughter Mrs John F MacAlister and two daughters from Denver Colorado.
Rebekah Lodges from Hamiota Rapid City and Qak River join Rivers lodge for the annual district meeting. About 60 attend the afternoon session with more arriving for the evening address by Mrs Margaret Cowan from Transcona. First session at 2:00 in Ukrainian hall, adjourns at 5:30 for dinner served by St James church WA group.
A large family gathering marks the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. John Bellamy. About 53 relatives from Canada and the United States will attend a dinner at their son Robert Bellamy’s home starting 8:00 p.m. They married in Winnipeg on June 17, 1902, after living in Minnedosa and Rivers for decades, and had 12 children seven sons and five daughters.
