Rivers Sports Day Promises Big Prizes and Fair Fun
Rivers Sports Day on June 19 features invitation and junior baseball contests with cash prizes, Ladies Softball rewards, and a 25 cent gate fee. The KE Casey Shows will headline midway entertainment, and a 35 cent dance admission. The day includes a town breakfast and a high school banquet at Rivers School.

C H Payne began duties as Secretary Treasurer of Rivers. Town to close stores at noon on Thursdays in summer. Joe Thompson is president of the newly organized baseball club. A troop train passed Rivers station with John Robbie and Will Pratt among the soldiers.
