Herbert White of Kemnay died on Friday May 31 at 65. Born in Bruce County Ontario he came west in 1895 and ran a livery business in Wheatland before becoming a patrolman on No 1 Highway. Survived by widow two daughters Mamie and Mrs Archie Lyon son Jack his mother Mrs E White of Rivers a sister Mrs Alex White and brothers Norman Albert and Robert H.
The Schools Field Day of Woodworth Municipality will be held at Kenton tomorrow Friday. This marks the fourteenth year the event has been celebrated.
The Baseball League released fixtures drawn up at the Alexandra Hotel. Schedule spans June 4 to June 21 with matchups including Cardale Rivers Rapid City Minnedosa and Minnedoga. The June 4 Cardale versus Rivers game was postponed due to weather and road conditions.
A Sectional Rally of the Woman's Missionary Society of the United Church will be held at Penapiece Church on Thursday June 13. The Municipal Memorial Service is scheduled for Miniota on Sunday July 7. A stone cairn will be unveiled at historic Fort Ellice on Monday June 10, marking the fort’s long importance in this northwest region.

The four act comedy drama A White Lie was presented by members of St James A V P A in the 100 Hall on Friday before a good audience. Cast include Miss Honah Card as Pauline and Rev E Williams as Edward Bell with strong performances. Interludes featured music and readings as the audience applauded the cast and director W G Thomas.
