Free Trade and Grain Use in Market Adjustment
The article argues that surplus grain lowers prices under free trade, boosting consumption while shortages raise prices and curb demand. It notes wheat is currently fed to livestock and suggests reducing such feeding to restore balance if needed, including wartime rationing. It concludes feeding grains to livestock yields far fewer people per acre than direct human consumption.
