Rivers 15th Annual Summer Fair drew 260 entries across cattle horses hogs sheep and farm exhibits with large crowds and top prizes awarded. Senior and junior sports drew six baseball teams and five football entries, plus a Bijou Theatre show and an evening dance.

Although some sandier areas fear drying soils, most regions remain well saturated with some hail minor. Fall rye heads indicate solid prospects. wheat cutting expected mid August. flax and corn face variable moisture but hay growth is abundant. wild oats proliferate and some flooding reduced area planted.
The Rivers Council minutes show the July meeting with Mayor Sinclair presiding. Resolutions set frontage rate at 15 cents per square foot, no special rate on properties paying frontage, and a 19 percent discount if paid before November 25, 1925. Taxes due September 1, 1925 with a bylaw to confirm the same.
